Anyone from Hawaii here?

Just wondering if there are any forum users here from Hawaii? Or anyone who visits Hawaii frequently? My girlfriend and I are considering a vacation there b-) We don't plan on going right away, but possibly during December 2014/January 2015. It would be extra cool if I knew someone there who could tell me a thing or two about the place and it's sights! Any other tips from users here would of course also be welcome :)
