Sold as an Inspector Pleco but not sure, please help

Hi,
I'm just cataloguing my collection and I'm just not sure about this little one.
I bought it as 'Inspector pleco' but he is still very small after several months - approx 50mm. Typical he is the one that hides during the day under the bog wood so grabbing a photo is not easy.

Need help id'ing this pleco

any help would be great, thanks.

Hypancistrus inspector

, looks more like an

Hypancistrus sp(l201)

I have a tendency to agree with you. I am a little concerned about its rate of growth as it seems very slow compared to my other plecos.

It is a Hypancistrus, so it will not grow very quickly.

Hi, I bought what was described as an inspector pleco too about 4 years ago. He has grown very slowly as well. He looks very much like yours. Will upload an image as soon as possible.
