Corydoras ID help: C. aeneus or something else?
I noticed a few light colored cories in a LFS last week among bronze cories (C. Aeneus) and was wondering whether these are fish that are stressed due to an illness or other factor and thus this color or another species?
I only have an iPhone 3Gs so the pictures may not be very clear but the coloration and body markings are more or less visible in most pictures.
I heard heard that Orange Venezuela Corydoras sometimes have this coloration too. Of course, this could be wishful thinking.
Any thoughts?

Think I see 3 Corys in these pics. C.Aeneus "(emerald)green", C.Aeneus "red" and C.Paleatus in the last one.
Keeping all three of them. I believe there are about 14 kind of C.Aeneus. I am keeping 4 of them and C.Venezuela as well.
Noticed this "green" ones change colors with age. Blue as juveniles and green now
Mine are really skitish btw. The others aren't.

Which one is the "red" one? I can figure out which one you are referring to as green, but the red one I couldn't figure out?CoryfanAad wrote:Think I see 3 Corys in these pics. C.Aeneus "(emerald)green", C.Aeneus "red" and C.Paleatus in the last one.

Also, WOW! 14 kinds? I didn't know that!
What is the main physical difference then between C. Venezuela and some of the different C. Aeneus species?

The two in front in the first pic arered ones to me (maybe I am using the wrong name but the are different to the green ones : I've two joining the group of greens as well).
There is not much of a difference, bit smaller / more chubby / color. I am keeping a smaller Aeneus as well that seems to be closer related to Venezuelas than others.
I can be wrong btw, so please let experts jump in if so.
