Cory Hybridizing?
I have been thinking of going with a couple of large shoals of corys in my 75G community (Blue Rams, Black Neons, Cardinals, and Ember Tetras) but thought perhaps I would go with a few different species of cories just to mix it up. But I don't want any chance of hybridizing, so will there always be a chance with multiple species or can I select certain ones to avoid the risk? I narrow it down right of the bat, I was hoping to at least get a group of Duplicareus. Thanks for the help.

If you're not gonna collect the eggs / let them hatch, the chance of hybrid-fey surviving in the tank isn't that great. One big "herd" of only one species is marvelous to see as well !!!

I would tend to agree with you there all the same. I have a medium sized shoal of Sterbai in my 20G long and they look impressive. Perhaps I'll just go with a large shoal of Duplicareus, too bad they are a small fortune lol.

I've got 30+ bronze corys in one tank. When you spook one of them and the entire lot follows it and hides behind a big pile of driftwood lol
I've got 3 sterbai in with them and they are always at the front of the tank not phased by any of it.

That video certainly makes going with a large shoal more tempting. If I want to do a large shoal with the Duplicarous it will be expensive at $20 each. Perhaps I'll try another species I have not kept yet.
