One or two of you might remember me from long, long ago, in a galaxy far far away. I had the Blue Eye Pleco that ate blood worms and brine shrimp from an eye dropper. Hoover, original, I know, tragically died in an ice storm back in 2008. I still keep my eye out for a Blue Eye but to date I haven't seen one that isn't ready to up and die (they're few and far between). I fully expected to have that boy around for a very long time. I've got a few Pandas, some Cardinal Tetras, Espei Rasbora and a few varieties of shrimp. Been keeping things simple because of space and other limitations. I don't have the space or physical capabilities to do what I once did (over 30 tanks).
And today something caught my eye at an old time fish store in Providence RI, some Aspidoras pauciradiatus. I've been around the hobby a while, well, a long while, but never actually SAW them before. I came home with 11 of them. George had brought in 300 or so wild ones.
Here's hoping they breed. Tomorrow I'll set them up in a nice sand bottom tank with a lot of plants and wood. I'd be nice to have baby fish around the homestead again.
