Feeding young Synodontis Petricola

Post by CataphractZ »

Hello!

I purchased two young Synodontis Petricola (sold to me as synodontis lucipinnis, though after doing some digging around I'm almost positive they're petricola). I was wondering what other keepers fed them when they're young? I have flakes, but I'm curious what others feed them. I read about shelled peas and cucumber as another option, as well as (small) sinking pellets.

I do really love them, first Synodontis I've kept, and as a huge catfish lover it's a dream come true.

Thanks!

I feed my rift lake synos a rotation of earthworm pellets, chopped prawns, chopped mussels, tetra prima, algae wafers & good quality flake as a standard.

I'll also feed a little bit of pretty much anything I can - chopped earthworms, avocado, tomato, peas, French beans, live foods, lobster, chopped oysters, blanched celery, potato, blanched cabbage & any commercially prepared foods.

Do you have any pictures of your fish?
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
