Sorry if I led anyone to assume this is a spawning report. I should be more specific. I am trying to determine the level of difficulty in breeding these little guys. Thanks for the replies.
Has anybody had success getting Lophiobargus brevispinis to spawn? Or, know someone who has attempted to breed them? A tale of wow!, or a tale of woe? There are spawn reports of L. cyclurus, but only one of L.brevispinis.
Thanks in advance,
Cichlidon

Re: Breeding Lophiobargus Brevispinnis
To start have you looked here , I know of a few people that have spawned them.
Unfortunately for me I had them in too small a tank and they were too rough and noticed too late( I think a common misperception due to their size), I believe they are spawnable though. I would now use nothing under a 18 x 36 inch footprint for 6 or so with many caves and stones.
