How to keep CW051
Hello everyone!
I'm getting a small tank (8.5 gallon) and was planning on stocking it with the lovely . I know its a small tank so I was thinking a group of 3 (2 males and one female) should suffice and in the end game I do plan on spawning them eventually. I would just like a group of playful fish to watch dance around and to make a nice little river aqua-scape with some Heteranthera zosterifolia and maybe some spider wood covered in Vesicularia dubyana and enough of it to create some shadows. I couldn't find anything about water params, temp or even max size in the
Catelog so if anybody would like to share that as well that would be fantastic!
For feeding I was planning on doing Frozen blood worms and brine shrimp in combination with some sinking Hikari pellets and a few other goodies every now and then. Substrate will be a fine sand (ADA La Plata) and another area will have some Aqua soil to optimize plant growth but their will be a river pebble barrier.
Let me know what you think of the set up (from description, do not have the tank yet...) and whatever advice is given in the duration of the thread I greatly appreciate it!

I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

Re: How to keep CW051
I have some of the very similar CW-049 and I am keeping them in a dimly lit, sand bottom tank with some rocks and wood. I find them to be very secretive unless being fed. Then they are all over the place.
I feed mine live blackworms, flake, and Repashy Spawn N grow on occasion. The latter because I am conditioning them up for hopefully spawning soon.

You are right they are very similar! Infact they are so similar I think the Cat-elog has a pic of as but I'm new to the whole Corydoras scene. What temps are you keeping yours at? I was thinking 76-78 and if you wouldn't mid telling me the PH it would be greatly appreciated! I have no context here unfortunately, the suppliers list has them coming from Vaupes, Colombia. Hopefully in a well planted tank they will feel a little less nervous and be more out and about.

Temperature is 80 degrees. No idea what the pH is. The water is straight RO water in the system I am keeping them in so it's very soft.
