Corydoras hastatus coloring/marking question

Post by MattQ »

Hi all, I picked up 8 hastatus corys from Barbie at Aquarium Solutions back in November, I had them in a 10 gallon with a couple air driven sponges and a large clump of moss. Now I have around 25 and recently moved them into a planted 20 gallon long, and they have since resumed laying eggs (yay!).

My main reason for posting is that I have noticed that some of my hastatus have black lateral line stripes that extend from the tail to the eye, which is not a characteristic that I have seen in other pictures. So I was wondering if this is a normal variation, or if anybody has other thoughts on this.

Thanks!
