Another misidentification of Panoquolus Abolmaculatus?

Post by pleconut »

Hi I posted in this forum for an ID of a pleco I got the other day. In a topic called Anyone able to ID this pleco. Just to ensure this also is Panaquolus Albomaculatus. 4.5 inches total length with the classic lyre tail, this time i think a female, but again needs feeding well. Kept in a tank without any wood, a second rescue of one of these beautiful fish that in my opinion, deserve better. The first I got is coming around, eating and happy in his wood filled tank, I'm hoping I can do the same for this one.
Very likely another misidentified Panoquolus Abolmaculatus

Resolved. Definitely is another Panoquolus Albomaculatus but with a much thinner first pectoral fin ray. I think I've now got a pair. :d
Thanks Teresa
