Retzer, M.E., and L.M. Page. Systematics of the stick catfishes

Post by Dimidiata »

I found this publication today after trying to ID my farlowella species for more than a week. It was buried in some old archives but it's quite amazing imo. It details every single species of farlowella and how to identify them along with a bunch of other information. It also has Identifying photos of real specimens for each species, something we do not accurately have on the log here. I'll post a link to the website where you can read it. You have to make a free account but then it's all yours. I think it could be used to do a full reform of the farlowella section of the log if it proves to be accurate.

It is a fantastic piece of work and has been referenced extensively for the catelog and in the forums. I am not sure if you noticed but the paper was published 19 years ago.
