Hello everyone! I'm new here. I've had some experience with a few types of fish and plants but absolutely no experience with snails.
So my three blue mystery snails that I bought about a month ago are not doing too well. Their shells are apparently disintegrating, cracking, and breaking. I was told by a friend of mine (fish and reptile specialist at at a pet store) that it might be because my water is soft and it doesn't have enough calcium in it. He suggested that I put snail and clam shells in my tank to help with that.

Re: Question about Apple snail eating Catfish
That will help. You can also use vacation feeder blocks (which are mostly calcium sulfate) to feed your snails to help with new shell growth.
