:P NNOOOOO!!! VERY YUMMY! :P

Don't knock it til' you try it!

Hell, the people in Florida had better learn to do something with them. They are introduced into the Fla. watrerways and are now there to stay!

Hey !

Sure they are eaten and taste delicious...
Of course it is way less heartbreaking to eat a rather common pl*co instead of eating a superb Panaque nigrolineatus....

Take it the other way... people there must see us as totally crazy people... keeping such fish in tank and not even eating them....

Cheers

Yes, if I'm not mistaken a bit back I read an article on florida having serious problems with certain groups catching them in canals. They weren't so much worried about the plecos but the netting process was killing local fish species.

Hello,
I did a collecting trip a few years back in Hawaii. Only found 2 of the 5 introduced species, but also came across a couple of recipes for pleco caviar. They pull it straight from the nest after they've got dad roasting. I don't think it would go over very big here on the main land.

This looks a lot more yum yum than the stuff my father is eating; caviar on top of a slice of moose-salami, atop a piece of bread/butter... Separately eaten its just heavenly(!), but when mixed...

What kind of sauce is used with plecos?
