I had finished pulling 4 sub adult l236 for CatCon and was getting ready to go to work on the 173b tank. I knew there was at least one juvenile fish in there and likely a few more I wanted to get out. I always do a cave check before pulling a tank apart to net fish. I knew 3 caves were occupied and I started down the line. When I hit the last tank in the tank I knew something was up when I spotted a tale slapped the male in the face, he has a gal in there. Good news, except...
The bad news is I do not break down tanks to collect fish if there is a dad on eggs or an ongoing trapping. So, unless this ends within the next 24 hours or so and there is no spawn, those juvie fish will not make it to CatCon. Fortunately, I have another growout tank that should have about 15 assorted sized offspring in it. Some of them will definitely make it.
