Week end Treat.
Are there any good answers as to why we don't offer this free French delicacy more often to our Plecos?

Re: Week end Treat.
I wasn't aware that plecos actually ate snails. Considering their diets and the behaviour of mine though I can see how this would be possible.

I've never tried garden snails, but I can tell you mine don't touch garden snails or ramshorn snails. Dang!

Now that is not a reply I understand! Anyway, have eaten garden snails for me in the past. If they don't get them quick enough mind you they can climb out and live on the fishroom wall.

Re: Week end Treat.
Would eat them, given their vampire teeth? Seems imaginable, but I have no first-hand experience.

Re: Week end Treat.
If you crush the snails before putting them in the tank, you don't have to worry about them climbing out.

Neither if you put them in the microwave for 10 seconds.Linus_Cello wrote: 30 May 2017, 15:13If you crush the snails before putting them in the tank, you don't have to worry about them climbing out.

Re: Week end Treat.
In my experience Pseudacanthicus eat many types of snails, even large Nerites. They don't need crushing or cooking. That was an expensive meal!
