I have not looked for news on the belo Monte Dam and the Xingu for quite some time. I just finished reading a bunch, but not all, of this article on the Mongabay site from last Feb.

Today I read that Nespresso will shit from their current aluminium towards "environment friendly, water powered aluminium cups".

I immediately thought - the Bela Monte power is intended to produce Aluminium and nothing else. Well, I do hope you will all join me in not buying Nespresso coffee.
