Lima Sicness

Post by Tenny »

Well I have a Lima Shovelnose who was doing fine about a couple hours ago, I fed a Red Worm to my Oscar, but the Oscar turned his nose up to it, and well the Lima came by and saw it, ate it, well since then I've noticed the Lima coughing and trying to puke alot, he's been swimming very erraticly, well now i just got back home, and he spit the worm out / puke'd it out. and all his slime is falling off.

The oscar isn't doing very well either, and the shovelnose is really scaring me, i'm afraid I'll lose him really soon.

The tank stats are:
Nitrite 0ppm
Ammonim 0ppm
Nitrate ~ 5-10 ppm

The OScar & Shovelnose are the only ones that are acting up (Giant Danios & Pleco are fine)

Any suggestions?

I'm going to get some Parasite killer at the LFS now, but I doubt he'll be alive when I get back, becuase he's gotten 10x worse in the past 10-15 minutes.

Ugh!

Well He died....

Do you think its from the Worm? The only thing I noticed about him phsically awas a little bit of color markings that were different, but other than that, nothing at all.

was my favorite fish too...

Tenny, I'm don't know about the worm, but I'm very sorry to hear about your fish. :( I just had a bunch of fish die from fungus in a small tank last week. It's pretty hard. tired1
