Hi!
I still havent figured out how to differentiate the types of Panaqolus...
I have these 2 at home...
The first one having clear seperated lines...and seeming to be a female.

To me, it does look like a Panaque maccus, L162???!!! any idea of the import origin???...
Did you check the teeth also???

I bought the first one as common Ancistrus...;) gives you an idea of the shops here...

I have the one in your second picture, it's indeed a P. maccus...plump, short body with no filaments on the fins (unlike the link to the picture in the post above me, doesn't look like a maccus to me).

Yeah they look like my clowns, mine are usually this light colour too.
