ANOTHER new Tang cat.....

Post by sidguppy »

Just purchased two Synodontis cf "polli/petricola"???
contaminants of a shipment of multipunctatus!
They were sold as polli, wich is miles from their own identity.

wildcaughts from somewhere Tanganyika.

They look like giant "Burundi-petricola's, but the bands on the pectoral and dorsal spines are MUCH whiter; actually this fish seems to "glow" like S granulosus does......

And I'm ONE lucky B*st*rd.....It's a pair!!!!

the one major difference from petricola is the mouth; it's much too wide, with a huge upper lip.....

They look like "giant petricola" from Tanzania :D :x

pix will follow, but now they're resting after being in the bag for 7 1/2 hour; we purchased our new batch of Tangies deep in Germany, near Frankfurt......
