Egg Placement in Corydoras

Post by corybreed »

I am doing some work regarding egg placement in different species of Corydoras. For example in my observations barbatus always lay their eggs in the same spot on the glass in one cluster. Corydoras axelrodi scatter their eggs throughout the tank. Please let me know your observations. :D

Hi Mark

C. zygatus are a good one to observe they lay all there eggs within 50 mm (2") of the surface water.

I have seen one or two species deposit eggs above the water line when they are running vertically up the tank, their enthusiasm carries them out of the water.
