Should i take it out ?

Hi :) i got a little problem with a golden nugget pleco wich is currently residing in a small rock cave with only a small entrance,He has used the cave since i introduced him to the tank about eight weeks ago,The problem is he's growing now and soon he will be to large for the cave that he seems to love :? Will it cause the pleco stress if i just remove the cave now ? The tank is half planted with plenty of bogwood and a larger cave he wont seem to use.
So is it better just to take it out now or leave it in there until he gets to large to get in it :? Sorry if it seems a dumb question but i just don't want to stress my fish or take the risk of scratches and so on.

You can leave the cave in the tank, if you are worried about to find him stucked...just move the cave a bit and put some new ones in the tank so he/she can chose one he like best.
It's not just the cave he like...its the position too where in the tank the cave is placed.
