White Shark Catfish????

Hey everyone,

Just got back from my LFS. There in a tank, for $29.99 was a fish labeled as "White Shark Catfish." The label went on to read: "A parasitic fish that consumes its victims from the inside out. Best kept in a tank by himself."

The fish was about 5" long and had a remarkable resemblance to an oceanic shark. The eyes were very small.

Does anyone out there know where I can find more info about this fish??? Any help appreciated! Thanks.

Some sort of Cetopsid (most likely )?

I am TRULY suprised by an LFS doing what every other one should do;
carefully and honestly labelling correct info on their sales.

now you know what it is, and how it likes to amuse itself, do you want to keep it?

because that is ONE MEAN NASTY fish!
