i have to agree, the filter will work fine, only problem is the one racoll states,
try instead of sucking on the outlet {from the tank} start the syphon of from the inlet pipe end ,
this worked for me many moons ago.. also the filter will turn over the water volume quicker as the
pump wont have to work against gravity as much,
