Catfish Display Tank

Hi I have a 4x2x2 foot tank, its going to be a display tank and im deciding between a catfish display tank or mbuna display tank.
So i've come here for answers about the catfish:P I have looked up catfish and here are some i like:

sailfin Plec
upsidedown catfish
cuckoo catfish
whiptail catfish
clown loaches
feartherfin catfish
clown synodontis catfish
black-spotted synodontis catfish

I would also like to put a few calvus in there and maybe a black ghost knife fish? will these harm the catfish?

now the questions:
1. would any of these out grow a 4x2x2 tank?
2. would this combination work or is it best to stick with fish from the same area
3. Can u suggest any other catfish - keep in mind I live in Australia
