Fluval 3 plus, anygood?

Post by mermaid »

I have a 10 gallon tank roughly, and I am using a fluval 3 plus internal filter, is this ok for the size of my tank, I have a plec, and 5 corys, I have some drfitwood & bogwood & sand as the gravel base, if this filter is not good for my tank can anyone recommend one.

Sorry I am new to all tis and my seem a bit dim!!

Just make sure (considering you have sand) that none gets in the filter, it can muck up the impeller. Look at the filter booklet if you need details. Good luck!

I have my filter stuck on the inside of the tank, not lying down, the thing is my plec speeds around sometimes & the sand goes everywhere, is this ok, the filter seems to be working ok so far?

How high from your substrate is the filter? Odd bits that fly around the base of the filter is OK (you just clean the sponges inside). As long as none gets into the powerhead section but this is situated on your water level so chances are slim! Your ok i says!
