Breeding Cordys ?

Post by locusdale »

Hi All,

Sorry another new one here. I have 5 cordys in a tank 5' x 2' x 2' with some Discus and yesterday after doing a water change they spawned on some sword plant leaves. What should I do with them, Im pretty sure the Discus will feast on them when they hatch. How long does it take for them to hatch ? Any info would be appreciated .

You can remove the eggs or place the sword plant with the eggs in another container. It will take about 4 days for the eggs to hatch. Once the eggs have hatched it will take about 4 days for the yolk saks to dissolve. Do not feed the fry before this time. best of luck
