breeding ret tailed catfish

A guy who is the biggest fish supplier in easter Poland has bred Phractocephalus hemioliopterus. The male dug a hole in gravel and then female lay eggs there. 2 days later he found dead female and all eggs were gone :] I didn't see this but he told me that so I thought why don't write it here :). He got a male for 6 years, he is about 70cm long and he bought a female which was 50cm long :] he doesnt know anything about water chemistry :] and temperature was 25C :]
