long finned bristlenose and dwarf
i know the reg longfinned grow to be about 2.5 inches but what about the dwarfs???
all i see for sale are the dwarfs??

Maybe I am missunderstanding your question but if you mean the longfin ancistrus that are just a common ancistrus with longer fins so will that species also grown to the same size as the common one around 6" and there are no dwarf forms existing...maybe you mean youngsters 1-2" which are the most regular in the trade.

I've seen the term "Dwarf" and "Bristlenose", but I believe this is an attempt to "sell" the bristlenose to those who are not keen on regular Pl*co's that tend to grow quite large. So calling them Dwarfs refer to the fact that they grow to 6" instead of 12-18" like "common Pl*co".
That's my understanding, but if you're after buying some of these, I'd ask the seller what they mean by it and if they expect them to grow the full 5-6"...
