Am I correct in remembering chrysichthys is Synodontis? the fish I want info on is Chrysichthys furcatus. Burgess has them under synos and they sure look and act like synos to me.
I don't see them on the PC genus list.
Anyone?

Thanks. I did find C. furcatus in Claroteidae, but could not tell from the pic if it was the same fish I had. The EYES in the rest of the depicted Chrysi. were the same huge dark eyes on my "furcatus", but the fish looked a bit small.Silurus wrote:Look under the family Claroteidae.
Synos are in the family Mochokidae.
Do you know if Frank Glennon from the Steinhart is on this forum? He received the fish on my ID, which was based on Burgesse's. I wonder if anyone came up with a better ID or a comfirmation on the fish at the Steinhart.
