I located the former "my" C. furcatus at SeaWorld in San Diego, CA, USA. Both the Steinhart and SeaWorld have accepted my tentative ID on the fish, so if anyone wants to see three "West African Big Eyed Catfish," there are three in San Diego, hiding in an African exhibit. No info on parameters or habitat at this point. Appearently they spawned while at the Steinhart.
There is little info on this fish, but they seem to spawn in captivity, are slow growers, hide alot and are probably nocternal. This catfish actually looks like a young cat, as in feline. All they would eat when I had them was catfood.
