how many 1" lf br's are ok to live in a 30 gallon tank

i am ordering a few extra for a friend of mine and am thinking of 2 or 3 dont know which is ok


Cant wait to get these baby's in
55 gallon tank Custom top, Custom Stand.
ODNO lights, DYI CO2, fluval 303 (looking for bigger one)

10 Gallon custom Stand Fancy guppy fry
5 Gallon (for the crayfish) On stand with 10 gallon

No pro here but your 2 or 3 is a little low especially if you want to try getting a pair later. I would feel safe with 7 in the 30 gal. You will also need to dummy proof the tank young plecos don't seem real smart and can get stuck in a hole to small to get out of ex I lost 2 to a small sponge filter. One squezzed into the air tube right behind another one and then they couldn't get out and died. Bear in mind the quote of seven is based on no other fish being in tank if you have others you may have to adjust it a little.

i am ordering 6 for myself but for my friend tank which is just for show i think 3 is good with about 5-7 other 1" fish
