I have friends from Trinidad in the fish business. Many of the common plecos here in the states come from Trinidad. According to my friend there are two populations of aeneus, both quite large fish. There are also Callichthys callichthys on the island. My friend prepared them for dinner, not bad!

after checking the fishbase list it seems like im going to have a lot to do down there, this is mainly a fishingtrip for about 2 weeks so i belive that i might be able to reach over some nice spots, and hopefully i can bring back some nice cats to Norway.
at the moment im looking for a cover for my EOS 300D, so im able to take some underwater pics as well.

well now its just 2 nights to go, and as my first trip to Dominican republic i have kind of started a tradition for my self, everytime i go to an new country that i never visited before, i just tattoo some smileys and the country name under my toes, this will dissapear after a while as the skin changes.

i got home today, we didnt catch all the fishes we wanted because of the rain and mudslides, it was not possible to see anything in most of the rivers, but in the las days of our stay in Trinidad we caught some Ancistrus maracasae in Maracas River an we also caught some Hypostomus robinii as well, the pics of the H.robinii was taken in the market place were they was sold as food, ill take better pics of the small ones i got with me home when they are in the fishtank.
