Scientific Name Kryptopterus minor  Roberts, 1989
Common Name Glasmaller (Denmark)
Type Locality Mainstream of Sungai Pinoh at Nanga Saian, 45 kilometers south of Nangapinoh, Borneo, Indonesia.
Pronunciation Cry top ter russ.
Etymology Kryptopterus: From the Greek kryptos, meaning hidden and pteryx, meaning fin; in reference to the reduced or absent dorsal fin of this group of fishes.

Size 68mm or 2.7" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
General Remarks Kryptopterus minor is not the glass catfish commonly found in the trade. The species we see in the trade is Kryptopterus vitreolus. Unless you collected the fish yourself in Borneo, you almost certainly have that species.
