Scientific Name	**Neblinichthys pilosus** Ferraris, Isbrücker & Nijssen, 1986
Common Name	Punk Pleco
Type Locality	Río Mawarinuma tributary, at Neblina base camp, on right bank in riffle, 0°55'N, 66°10'W, Venezuela, elevation 120 meters.
Etymology	Neblin- is based on the Neblina camp that is the location where the type specimen was caught. -ichtys: fish. Literally "fish from Neblina". This specific epithet refers to its hairy (pilosus=hairy) appearance.
