Etymology Punctatus - spotted, in reference to the spots on the fish.

Size 110mm or 4.3" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification Sometimes labelled as Opsodoras stubelii or similar in hobby literature. This species may have a spotted caudal fin but additionally has two mid lobe horizontal dark stripes, as opposed to D. punctatus which only has spots on the caudal fin.
