Type Locality	Kejiehe, 24°52.36'N, 99°26.03'E, a tributary of the Salween River, Kejie, Changning County, Yunnan Province, China.
Pronunciation	Sew de che niss
Etymology	Specific epithet reflects the long pectoral fins of this species.

Size	133mm or 5.2" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	Fishes of the genus Pseudecheneis can be differentiated from other Glyptosternine fish in having a thoracic adhesive apparatus consisting of a series of transverse ridges (laminae) separated by grooves (sulcae) (de Pinna, 1996; Roberts, 1998).
