| Identification | No eyes; white or pink body; red mouth (from blood pigments). No jaw teeth; lips at corner of mouth thin; short lower jaw curved upwards and into mouth; snout overhangs mouth. Fused gill membranes with barely visible fold between them. Anal rays 16-17. |
