It actually reminds me of Meerkats (sp?) the way they stick their heads up in the air looking for danger. Not quite the same but still rather interesting.

Why do Cory's "stand" on their ventral fins?

Probably a rather silly question, however, I have noted it as a regular behaviour of my Corydoras. Quite interesting to watch indeed. Is there a purpose?

Ok, so I have 1 Synodontis nigrita and 1 Synodontis obesus.

Nigrita there is a bundle of information on.

I am however, scratching around and not finding much information on the obesus other then it gets rather large (37.5cm according to fishbase).

Could one of you please enlighten me on some ...

I personally wouldn't be trusting a calculator to work out how many fish can be stocked. There are too many variables to consider.

I am not an expert, but can you please provide valid scientific information to prove that these fish are indeed not hybrids?

I guess I see these wonderfully catfish with brightly coloured seams on fins, and was wondering if these cats have a different and varied diet to those that appear to be relatively plain in colour.

Catfish are definitely not my forte. So I like to learn about these ...

IMHO Albino fish seem to lack something (other then pigment). I also think that to line breed to create an albino strain is not overly great on behalf of man. To line breed such a variety for pure commercial reasons is rotten. Why not breed the regular varieties, and in the off chance that an albino ...

Hi Alex,

I purchased mine from Aquotix (Canning Vale). They told me that they get there fish from 1 of 2 breeders. 1 is north of the river, and the other south.

I reckon they are pretty cool. 8)
