Flubendazole is definitely one of the better antihelmithics (anti-parasite medication), but very "mild" on the fish being medicated.
You may want to just try feeding a slice of zucchini for a few weeks. It certainly will not hurt the fish, and it may help it. Don't be surprised if the fish don't ...

Re: Long Whitish String Poo?
Ive tried levamisole, prazi and a metro course to no avail. I havent been feeding any fresh veggies only algae wafers and veggie bits(dry food) Do you still think I should go with the parasite clear. It has an ingredient that sounds like its in the flubendazole realm, which is good. Ive heard good ...

String Like Poo from Bristlenose. Have Micro Vids. Need Help
Hello all. I have a problem with a Bristlenose and a Royal. They both have a 6" long string like poo trailing from them. Some of its length is clear and some of it is dark like normal poo. Here are some videos of what was seen with my microscope. Please help me identify what these critters are and ...

Wood that is safe for Panaque's (New Pic Added)
Hello, I recently bought a used tank from craigslist and it came with some wood that was being used in that previous owners tank. Its not Mopani, Malaysian or gapevine. How do I tell if it is safe for a Panaque to eat it? I have recently boiled it.

Re: Breeding Plecos. Substrate vs. Barebottom
Ive read a few posts about the bio film concern in a BB tank. My question is... Wouldnt any tank have bio film on all of the surfaces whether it be sand, gravel, wood, or glass?

Re: Wild Caught Zebra questions
I thought that the "bulldog" deformity was from incorrect water parameters causing the fish to struggle to break through the egg shell. Also, would 2 unrelated F-1's fry be F-2's?

Thanks for the list. That definately helps with ethic and moral decisions. It looks like F-1s are the way to go for most of the plecos out there.

Wild Caught Zebra questions
Hello guys, I read in the past that the export from Brazil of the l-046 was banned. Ive been trying to find where I found that info but am having no luck. If someone is offering for sale some 2" WC Zebras would that mean that I should stay away from them since the law took effect @ 2004? What are ...

Re: My new acquisitions :)
These plants are recommended for a cichlid tank as they are supposed to taste horribly to them. I would assume that they would have the same taste to all plant eating fish.

Why do we use fry traps?
What is the reason that we use fry traps as opposed to just leaving the baby plecos in the tank? Im guessing that it would be to prevent them from being eaten, but Ive read a few articles about people not having any problems like that and they just leave the fry in the tank. Is it so they have a ...

Albino Bristlenose Babies Leaving the Cave Early?
I recently had a spawn of some albino bristlenoses and after 2 days, 4 of the babies were out of the cave and bumbling around the tank. After 2 more days they disappeared one by one. Could they have made it back into the cave, or was there some reason that they were kicked out of the cave in the ...
