Hi, didnt the place you bought them tell you that Barbatus are a COLD water fish not tropical?
I have mine in a seperate tank to my other fish @ 18-20 degrees celsius.Any warmer the most healthy looking fish will die.

Re: Corydoras longipinnis (Cw003) = Cory paleatus?
The longfin have long pectoral fins too unlike Longpinnis. You cant see their pectorals in that photo, but to take more I'd have to transfer them to a display tank as theyre in a 54litre tank now.

Re: Corydoras longipinnis (Cw003) = Cory paleatus?
These are my C.Paleatus long-fin babies,they're about 2mths old.
Longfin have far more exagerated fins than C.Longpinnis.
Tyne Valley Aquatics have the longfin paleatus, aeneus and panda,I'm sure Richard could get you C.Longpinnis too

Have you thought about hosting a Ventrilo or Teamspeak server?
I've found that ppl still post their info as much if not more when they've been chatting about stuff.. alot more can come up during a conversation than simply reading an article on one subject. As you know most of us dont just keep ...

C.Sterbai info
Hi,I was wondering whether anyone can give me some info on living/water conditions for C.Sterbai please? I'm sure I read here that they can withstand higher temperature than some other corys. But when I went to the catelog theres no info plus it says no one has bred them yet.

And yes my C.Robinae perked up immediately when I added flow and extra air.Now they are constantly on the go or hovering in the water jet...also their colour changed from very red heads and gills to more healthy looking colour like in the cat-elog.

Hi,yes I was only suggesting that the info be put in and was hoping that other ppl might verify what I,m saying...Obviously this is my experience with these 2 species. If it helps other ppl not go through what I did and not lose any fish then its all good.

According to the king british test strip 6.0 NH3/NH+4 mg/l..dark green = danger..I rinse the filter sponge etc in the water I've removed during a tank change. But from now on Im gonna alternate the filters not do both @ once. They are sera internal filters so the tank has a low flow of water but ...

I noticed my corys were looking pale and inactive today..didnt wanna feed either..so I did a water test and found that the ammonia level was high.Dont know why either did a water change and filter rinse a few days ago as normal and then a water test ..all was good.
