Just wondering what I can keep as nice colorful swimming fish with my Siamese Cats. I was thiking more on the lines of asian fishes. Any ideas?
I know that Tiger Barbs are completely crazy fish but is it possible? Zebra Danios maybe? Dwarf Gouramis? Please let me know. Thanks.
Regards,
Mike D.

Territorial Disputes
My L79 has been at it again. He is the bully of the bunch. He thinks the whole tank is his.
I'd like to try and make some changes. Would it be better to keep on changing the driftwood constantly or to have it stay the same?
Let me know. Thanks.

Question on Cycling
I've cycled a lot of tanks in my life --- both fish and fishless. I just want to know one thing. If I transferred all the water, substrate, filters and media from one cycled tank into another uncycled tank; will that new tank be safe for the same fish now? I know the good bacteria in the new tank ...

Agree with Shane. The Black Lancer SHOULD be kept with very peaceful fish. I lost two Lancers to two Feather fins back in the Phils. The feather fins just kept on chasing them. Funny, I also lost another here in Singapore because the normally peaceful King Bagrids (which they were kept with) would ...

Experience with King Lancers
Has anyone had any long term experiences with the King Lancers? I have three of them in a tank with a black lancer and four small (dwarf?)gouramis. Any experiences that can be shared? Thanks.

Thank you for all your replies and suggestions.
Sorry about the misunderstanding on the tank size. The 50 gal tank size was a planted tank with purely tetras and ottos. I jumped tank topics without explaining. The plecs with tetras are in a dark gravel, driftwood and river rock set up in a 6'x24 ...

Rams and Tetras in a Pl*co tank
Wondering whether rams (Microgeophagus ramirezi) and tetras (Neons, Penguins, Black Skirt and Rummy Nose) will do well together in a pl*co tank?
Will the Rams pick on the tetras or would you suggest that I have an all ram tank with the pl*cs? I have seen some of them "fighting" with their lips ...

Problem with Cat-elog Photos
I don't know if anyone has had this problem but just today I tried accessing the cat-elog. I found out that there are no pictures for all the plecs when you access via the "C, L & LDA" cat-elogs. It says "No Images Available". The part for the cories are working just fine. Is it just me? What gives ...

Grime and Dirt on the Filter Containers
How do you get rid of those grime and dirt (protein build ups?) in the overhead filter containers? After they build up it's so hard to get rid of. So, how do we do it?
I have regular water changes twice a week and get to clean the filters twice a month with the water from the tank. Do I include the ...

FIshless Cycling
Hello Mr. Suave,
Check out the sites below for fishless cycling. So far I haven't had any problems with the dozen or so set ups that I have done using this method in the Philippines. And, I don't have to waste fish.

Frontosas with my Synos
I am thinking of getting a pair of Frontosas. They are about 5-7" total length. My synos are smaller. I have 3x3" cuckoos, 2x4"featherfins, 2x4" ocelifers, 2x1.5" upside down cats, 1x4" decorus.

Asian Cat Tankmates
I would like to get a mottled/albino walking cat for my asian cat tank but not sure about tankmates. I have 3 striped cats and 2 siamese cats (lancer died a few months ago). Will the walking cat do okay with this present group. All sizes are within the 3-4 inch range. The cat in question is also the ...

Some thoughts, I know you guys are the experts. My experience with this system is the plumbing. Make sure you guys have another filter or two in there. Dirt and grime stick into the crevices and underneath the piping. I had a hard time cleaning the tank to my standards because of that. It also must ...
