I keep all my tanks at a neutral ph and the africans are fine, seeing how most cb's are raised in water with an untreated ph it doesnt effect them. Some of the species have a max of a little less then 6" but once the cats got to a bigger size i could move them, the problem is the cats right now...

Hello all, i was wondering if any ones ever tryed keeping sun catfish in with malawi haps? I realize the cats could possible get large enough to eat the haps but id obviously watch it carefully. Also dont worry about what values, i dont raise ph for my africans.

I had a true batrachus that was around 45.7 cm sl and was still growing when he died. I dont have any size comparision pics tho, but he was in a 18" wide tank and was longer then the tank was wide.
