L066 are carnivours, so meat type foods like bloodworm, beefheart, shrimp pellets, ect work well. If they are hungry, they will find the food.

3cm is too small for a definant ID. Try again when its about twice the size.

Rineloricaria sp. L010a ?

I bought these as Rineloricaria sp. L010a, but after comparing them to photos in the cat-elog, i am not too sure. Mine have head markings, and arn't as bright red. Maybe LDA52, Rineloricaria cf. parva?

Definently not L169. Looks more like a Peckoltia. Though more photos would help.

Is there any other fish in the tank? What are you feeding the fry and parents? Water quality needs to be as good as possible, you should do about 10% daily water changes.

I have a 3 year old L104 that is 6.5cm, and another that is alot younger, but is 7cm. So it probably doesn't take that long for them to reach full size.

I wouldn't expect your L104 to get much bigger than what it is now.

Do you think that any of them could have disturbed him? Have you done anything that may have disturbed him, like looking into the tank, or shining a torch into the tank to see, or even changed anything to the tank/water while he was in the cave?

No photo, just shows a plecofanatics banner, which also happened to me while trying to show photos on here from plecofanatics.

I've seen your L333 on plecofanatics, and its probably going to be too hard to be sure about its ID until it gets bigger, as alot of Hypancistrus look the same when young.

Re: Orange spot bristlenose

Pretty similar to common BNs when it comes to feeding them and keeping them, but they do take longer to mature.

Sturisoma panamense?

I bought a Whiptail under the name of 'Sturisoma panamense', but while looking in the Cat-elog under Sturisoma panamense i read this: Another elegant species confused with S. festivum (and thus S. aureum). This species can be distinguished by the fins which, while spectacular, do not have the ...

Fry are really effected by ammonia, so if your ammonia level is even the slightest bit high that could have something to do with it!
