Re: where did plecofanatics go?
As a member of CanadaPleco I would just like to point out that at the time the owner of CP was just trying to do all a service and save as much information from the sinking ship. So please do not jump down his throat. The authors were all given credit in the articles with their name, and website of ...

Re: where did plecofanatics go?
It is sad to see a site I have supported dissappear. I vagely remember seeing something a month or so back about backing stuff up, and I meant to go back to deal with it. However completely forgot. I am sad to have lost some contacts that were in my PM section, will have to see if I can recreate ...

Re: Cherry and Crystal Red Shrimp
That tank looks awesome! My shrimp tanks are on a racking system so they are deep rather than long... too bad cause I would love to attempt to recreate some of that... after all imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery

Moral of the story is to breed them if you have them
no, the moral of the story is: "we show the gringo's who's boss. we don't give a flyin wazoo about pl*co's or other wildlife, hence all the big dam building projects that will screw up big parts of Amazonia beyond any repair. but we're in ...

Splitting Species among different tanks
Hey Jools,
don't know if this has been suggested but I was wondering if, when you are next working on the 'My Cats' and the 'My Aquaria' sections if you can design it so that we can have species split among differet aquariums. For example I have ABN's in two different tanks, however I cannot split ...

Re: How to tell L333 from L066
From all the images I have seen to date there also seems to be a difference in the tail on this fish. The L066's tail is more concave and the L333 seems to be straighter... or am I incorrect on that assumption?

I actually like the new format. Lets give Jools and the new format some time before jumping all over him... after all this is something he does on his private time, and furthermore most of the costs come out of his own pocket book.

I find it rather comical to say the least that they are restricting the export of a fish that they are planning on destroying the habitat of with dams in the very near future. They are protecting the species so that it doesn't become extinct to subsequently build a dam in the very area it inhabits ...

CITES & IUCN Red List
I was just checking out some information over at those two sites and found out that certain species that I thought would be on there are not... primarily the Hypancistrus zebra. Can anyone here shed any light on that? Or am I just not using the site correctly?
