Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
Dave,And maybe a Shane's World article?
This is partly related to a larger issue Jools and I have been discussing. The current layout for Shane's World was great when it had under 40 or so articles. It has now reached the point (160 plus articles) where, honestly, even I sometimes have trouble locating specific articles.
We need to find a more user friendly design.

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
I don't think anyone is "bothered" about your question, but as Jools suggests, this has been discussed a few times before, so you should be able to find it using the site search (that's the "Search" between Cool and Help! under the big "rainbow" PlanetCatfish logo). In fact I just tried, and it's the second link that comes up.

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
The site has 240,000 pages or thereabouts, so searching is best as looking at all the pages will take a while! We'll put this in the glossary I think and, as another strand, look at uncluttering Shane's World.

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
I suppose we should add the "uncluttering Shanes World" part to the Bugs section...

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
This information is in the site FAQ, albeit slightly tucked away at question number 43.
Can be found by expanding the popular questions and then using a Ctrl-F search for "number". Searching "L number" doesn't show the result.
Not exactly the easiest way, but I managed to find it within a couple of minutes.

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
It's the number question I am asked and also the one usually understood wrongly, the L-numbers, when people are discussing plecos with me. I definitely think we should make it easy to find so that this information is propagated more frequently.

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
Agreed, and I also need to retire the FAQ and put it all into the forum. Another wee project.....

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
Being very pedantic:
The FAQ for "what are "L" numbers?", could it be made linking to the "What are L-numbers?" heading in the "You say Pleco..." article in Shane's world? And it doesn't explain about CW and C numbers in the Shane's World article. Do you want me to write a bit up about that, and we can either insert it into the FAQ (and maintain the link to Shane's world), or make a new article in Shane's World that covers the four [or five for sp(n) here on Planet Catfish?].

Re: L ,CW,LDA ect.
It's a good point. I would have one FAQ entry for L and LDA numbers that includes the SW link and a second FAQ entry for C and CW numbers.

I couldn't add the C/CW numbers - see the post in the Admin Improvement thread.
I have added LDA-numbers to the L-numbers question.
