Hello every one from Canada

Post by fishfanatic »

:D I have a 150gal a 55gal a 35gal and soon a 180gal. I have 5 types of cories, 2 stripped rapheals , 2 upside downs , 1 armoured hoplo ,2 farawellas , and 4 sailfin plecos. I found a cat fish in my lfs they call a Turushugui or Octoadus Niger(not 100 percent sure on spelling) and i can't find any info on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Recently I have really got interested in cats and plan on adding more cats to my collection.

It grows reasonably quickly. I think a 180 will be okay for some time, but eventually the fish will outgrow your tank.
I can't say anything about the price, because I don't know what the Canadian dollar is worth. Overhere they do 45 euros, which is about 55-60 US dollars.

60 * 1.3 = 78 - so $75 CAD isn't entirely unreasonable. Prices are always variable depending on the place you live in, so you can't just say "Oh, this fish costs half in <some>" to your supplier and expect them to say "Oh, ok, you can have it for half the price", since the local supplier will have to pay the local wholesaler - probably around 30-50% of the price you're paying... [And yes, that's the normal markup on fish, somewhat more for the less expensive and a bit less for the more expensive - but it probably varies a little bit between countries as well].
