Catfish for a new tank

Post by Ashton »

I'll shortly be setting up a new 60 litre. As it's years since I've had a tank that wasn't just a 20 - 30 litre species tank, I was thinking of having a nice Bristlenose or similar in the tank. But is it OK to add a BN to a newly cycled tank? Or would it be worth waiting for about 3 months or so? Although I've had BN's etc. in the past they've always been added to mature tanks so I could do with some expert advice

Hi and welcome,
I'm relatively new to catfish myself but this page has all the common questions answered. I'd start with the "Catfish Basics" articles about 1/3 way down the page. I think it's best to cycle the tank properly first but the articles will give you a lot more than I can. Beware, one catfish always leads to another :)

Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.
