OK, I got two more, because that is all they had.I will probably get two more if they get them in again. I have not seen any fighting yet, but then again I have not seen them out yet either.
Thanks,Matt

New L-104
Hi, I found some L-104 locally and got four of them. I have them in a 40 us gal (36inx18inx18in). How many would be OK in a tank this size for breeding? The only other fish in the tank are six Cory cats and 14 neon tetras. I also have plenty of driftwood and 8 caves. For filtration I have an Emperor ...

Pleco Suggestions
Hi, I'm looking for some Suggestions on a new Pleco. I have a 40gal(36in x 18in x 18in) and am looking for a pleco for it. I have bred Bristlenose in the past and want to try something else(unfortunately lost them all in a move). The tank will just be for the pleco's and some tetras. I will probably ...

Re: Breeding age
Ancistrus species are certainly one of the fastest maturing and easiest to get to breed.
Most other genera and species take longer to mature, and are harder to get to breed.

Re: pl*co for 55g
I would not describe getting L134 as an easy species to breed. The fry are easy to raise if you manage to breed them.
It seems to me that some of the Hypancistrus contradens, L201 and look-a-likes seem to be better "entry level" fancy dwarf pleco breeding candidates. I still don't for sure why I ...

I was thinking about going to thatpetplace/thatfishplace but too long a drive for me,anyway you probaly could try breeding them.I like those but again I hate driving out there and I want to pick out my fish.Leopard plecs are pretty niceand are cave spawners,so it should be pretty easy.Plus they ...

Re: pl*co for 55g
There was a post about breeding L002 a while back. But breeding there is about the same as any other pleco - cool water changes, good food, plenty of caves, a male and a female, and that's about it.

Re: pl*co for 55g
Those are two very nice-looking fish for pretty reasonable prices, IMO. Either would be great, but in your case, I would make my decision based upon what temperature you plan to have your tank set at. The L-002 appears to like a sub-80 temp, while the L-270 prefers an 80+ temp. I don't think you ...
